Bitmain has announced that it is developing a new liquid-cooled bitcoin (BTC) mining rig that would be more energy efficient than its previous crypto mining equipment.
The Antminer S19 XP Hyd is its name. The company claims that its new ASIC miner has a computing power of 255 terahash per second (TH/s) and a power efficiency of 20.8 joules per terahash (J/T). According to reports from March 14, 2022, it consumes 5,304 watts.
The Antminer s19 XP Hyd
Bitmain has released another high-performance ASIC miner, the Antminer S19 Pro+ Hyd, just two months after introducing the Antminer S19 Pro+ Hyd. It has a hashrate of 198 terahash per second (TH/s) and consumes 5445 watts of power. It has a 27.5 joules per terahash power efficiency (TH). Finally, there’s the most up-to-date liquid cooling technology.
According to insiders close to the newest development, Antminer has released the Antminer S19 XP Hyd, a high-end ASIC miner. Bitmain Technologies Ltd is one of the world’s largest bitcoin mining hardware producers.
Bitmain has 255 terahash per second (TH/s) of processing power with a power efficiency of 20.8 joules per terahash (J/T). It has a consumption rate of 5,304 watts of energy.
Bitmain has stated that the Antminer S19 XP Hyd is the company’s most energy-efficient miner at the moment. It may be purchased for a stunning $19,890 per piece by crypto miners. On the other hand, the Antminer S19 XP, Bitmain’s previous top offering, costs $11,620 per unit.
The new Antminer S19 XP Hyd miner, like the S19 Pro+ Hyd, has a hydro cooling system. It’ll be released in the first quarter of 2023.
Bitmain’s Antspace HK3
Bitmain has also announced the release of the ANTSPACE HK3, a new bitcoin mining container. It has enough room for 210 mining machines, while the container itself uses up to 1 megawatt of electricity.
Bitmain claims that its latest energy-efficient miners can only be operated with containers made by the company.
Essential Mining Solutions
The energy usage of proof-of-work (PoW) based cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin (BTC) has become a hot issue of discussion in a number of jurisdictions across the world.
Kosovo is the most recent country to prohibit cryptocurrency mining. Mining that is both ecologically benign and energy efficient has become increasingly important. Bitcoin mining stakeholders are working around the clock to make it as energy-efficient as possible.
Block Inc’s CEO is Jack Dorsey (formerly Square). He mentioned in October that the company was thinking about developing an open-source bitcoin mining device based on proprietary silicon. For both businesses and individuals, this lowers the entry hurdle.
In a tweet thread earlier in January, Thomas Templeton Block’s general manager for hardware underlined that the new approach will boost bitcoin mining efficiency and more.
