The Saudi Digital Academy (SDA) and the BSV Blockchain Association, located in Switzerland, have signed a memorandum of agreement. They will be opening a BSV Blockchain Academy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is the Middle East’s first full-fledged blockchain academy.
The SDA is an important national project of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). They are aiming to improve Saudi youth’s human capital and digital competencies.
It establishes a national academy with worldwide standards to educate Saudi talent in emerging technologies. They are also preparing them for professions in the communications and information technology industry. The goal is to help the Kingdom’s digital transformation and ‘Saudi Vision 2030’ come to fruition.
Blockchain Learning and Development Tools
The BSV association and SDA will work to deliver blockchain learning and development tools for a variety of audiences. Moreover, they will be including developers, students, start-up founders, company executives, and government agency representatives. The new blockchain school in Riyadh will be helping them.
Hence, the institute will center on the BSV blockchain. An enterprise-grade network that can handle large-scale data applications and high-volume transactions at low cost; BSV median transaction fees are generally a fraction of a US penny.
The SDA has created a series of sector-specific teaching programs, the latest of which is the BSV Blockchain Academy.
The Fourth Industrial Revolution involves many emerging technologies. These were the Faris AlSaqabi, Deputy Minister for Future Jobs & Capabilities at MCIT. They are explaining that the SDA is seeking to attract multiple digital academies. Therefore, it will help them provide training across all fields that will be critical to Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation.
The inaugural academies were announced during their October 2021 debut event. As a result, they have been looking to expand into other fields of study. Users are happy to collaborate with BSV’s team. They will be delivering world-class blockchain certification to Saudi Arabia in this historic endeavor for the Middle East. This is in regards to the given significant interest in blockchain technology.
The Global Technology Summit
Throughout a signing ceremony on the last day of LEAP 2022 – the global technology summit in Riyadh that took place on 1-3 February 2022. This is were the BSV blockchain association and SDA unveiled their educational partnership. LEAP 2022 was the largest technology event to date, with over 100,000 attendees.
Moreover, Mohammed Alsuhaim, Chairman of the Saudi Digital Academy, expressed his delight at the Saudi Digital Academy’s partnership with the BSV Blockchain Association. It will help establish the Middle East’s first full-scale blockchain academy in Riyadh.
This effort will educate students, developers, business executives, and government officials in Saudi Arabia on how to traverse the Fourth Industrial Revolution using blockchain technology.
Furthermore, the BSV team has shared their vision for creating true blockchain utility at mass to power data for a digital Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and they expect this to be the first step in further collaboration with the BSV Blockchain Association.
Saudi Arabia is a pioneer in developing technologies like the Internet of Things, robots, smart cities, and artificial intelligence. Furthermore, data is at the heart of all of these fields, and only the BSV blockchain has the scalability to serve as their distributed data infrastructure.
He continued by stating that they are ecstatic to teach Saudi youth and professionals about the power of BSV in driving digital transformation and creating a better world. In addition, they’re also looking forward to working with the MCIT and the Saudi Digital Academy on this educational relationship and promoting blockchain adoption to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
