Fans who found the hidden QR code in Crypto.com’s Big Game commercial with LeBron James entered into a drawing to win an NFT. It would be from the NFT anthology ‘The Moment of Truth.’
The youthful NBA talent includes in the crypto exchange’s video advertisement. He was on the verge of making a life-altering decision: he was heading to the League instead of college.
NFT Collection’s ‘The Moment of Truth’
The ‘Moment of Truth’ collection consists of 15 NFTs. It’s divided into three parts, each capturing critical moments from LeBron James’ pivotal choice. It also includes the film’s behind-the-scenes footage.
Tier 2 depicts the nostalgia of LeBron James’ roots, while Tier 3 adds on-set details and Easter eggs. Tier 1 also features rare glimpses of the GOAT himself.
The randomly chosen lucky winners received a total of 5550 NFTs. It comes from people who found the QR code in the commercial and followed it. They also joined up for the Crypto.com NFT platform by the Friday after the game.
All NFTs gave away for free, and Crypto.com does not sell them. However, some may surface for resale on the NFT platform of the crypto market.
Re-Sale Profits Proceed to Family Foundation
LeBron said he wants to make sure that neighborhoods like his don’t get left behind. He and Crypto.com agree on the need of educating and supporting his community. According to Crypto.com, 5% of NFT resales will go to the LeBron James Family Foundation as royalties.
The LeBron James Family Foundation reportedly struck a multi-year deal with Crypto.com earlier this year. The purpose of this project is to create a curriculum for the I PROMISE School in Akron, Ohio.
A Glimpse of I PROMISE
I PROMISE, which opened in 2018, a public elementary school aimed primarily at at-risk students and financed by the LeBron James Family Foundation.
The NBA star announced the collaboration, explaining that the goal is to teach the school’s 1,600 students about cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and associated jobs.
Students will learn about cryptocurrency, I PROMISE. They will learn the underlying technologies and associated professional fields from Crypto.com experts in both virtual and in-person settings.
It is based on the principles of educational empowerment. Students and families enrolled in the I PROMISE program will have access to Web3 development possibilities as a result of the new relationship.
