FTX, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has announced a new collaboration with Naomi Osaka. The four-time Grand Slam tennis champion will serve as the platform’s ambassador. This will aid in the “accessibility” of Bitcoin and other digital assets.
FTX announced the news on their official Twitter account. The platform released a commercial honoring Osaka, with a fundamental theme that echoed their mission statement: to make crypto accessible to all.
The FTX Ambassador Team
Osaka, on the other hand, took to Twitter to announce her new alliance. The tennis winner made a reference to former Victoria’s Secret model Gisele Bündchen, who is married to NFL icon Tom Brady. Stephen Curry, an NBA player, collaborates with FTX for a similar aim.
Osaka issues a statement in which the CEO of the crypto exchange platform, Sam Bankman-Fried, is mentioned. She stated that if Stephen Curry, Tom Brady, and Gisele Bündchen are all in, then she is as well. She expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming voyage with FTX and Sam Bankman-Fried.
Curry became an FTX ambassador in September. After Brady and Bündchen announced their relationship in June 2021, this happened a few months later.
FTX’s Objective
The cryptocurrency exchange has been attempting to get into the mainstream and has obtained key partnerships in order to do so. Its goal is to raise awareness of digital assets.
The platform bought the naming rights to the Miami Heat arena, currently known as FTX Arena, in 2021. This was applauded both inside and outside the industry, and some people saw it as a sign of progress.
FTX just broadcast a commercial with comedian Larry David during the NFL’s Super Bowl. The Super Bowl commercial, like Osaka’s, was aimed at a broader audience. This also serves to attract digital assets by identifying them with the future of finance or its next evolutionary step.
A Crypto Ambassador’s Life
At the present, Brady appears to be the most active of FTX’s ambassadors. On social media, the NFL star is quite active and frequently engages with followers and crypto creators.
According to the New York Post, the NFL legend recently “urged” FTX to contribute BTC to a fan-chosen charity. This individual spent more than $500,000 on a football. After Brady announced his surprise departure from the sport, the item’s value plummeted.
According to the story, the value of the ball plummeted the day after the world record pigskin purchase. It was when Brady stated that he would be back to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022.
The football would have lost almost 90% of its value even if FTX sent 1 full Bitcoin to a charity.
