Neo, a premier community-driven blockchain platform, launched the Neo N3 mainnet on Aug. 2, 2021, marking a watershed moment not only for Neo but also for the blockchain industry as a whole.
In preparation for the full-scale launch, the team published the codebase as v3.0.0 on Aug. 1, 2021, and made the RC4 testnet the formal testnet. As Neo’s most important platform improvement, the launch of the Neo N3 mainnet will allow Neo to become a foundation for the smart economy of the future.

Future Events
As early as August 9, token holders can begin transferring their GAS and Neo (NEO) tokens from Neo Legacy to Neo N3.
They will be among the first to vote in Neo’s governance system and receive a bigger share of GAS fees. During this time, however, N3 support from external service providers such as wallets and exchanges expects to be limited.
After completing the mainnet setup for Neo N3, they will commence the bulk movement of Neo and GAS tokens, beginning with the token migration incentive scheme, which will motivate users to migrate by awarding bonus Neo tokens.
The following prizes will be available. 1 percent bonus each 100 moved NEO from September 1 to 14. 0.75 percent bonus for each 134 migrated NEO from September 15 to September 30. 1–31 October — 0.5 percent bonus for 200 NEOs migrated
If you migrate in larger quantities than those listed above, you will not receive a token bonus; for example, if you migrate 199 NEO during week one, you will receive 1 NEO. Within three days of finishing your migration, you will receive your rewards.
