Quant recently celebrated their sixth anniversary. Quant expressed gratitude to their staff, clients, partners, and community for the incredible six years that had passed and for the voyage ahead. Furthermore, they reiterate that they have many more buildings to construct in the future.
Peter, Quant’s CTO, thanked the community. He said thank you to hundreds of their community members and developers. Those who assisted in testing and providing input on the network. As a result, they made significant advancements in their technology, which they are launching today with the Overledger Network.
The Overledger Network has been released after almost two years of hard labor. In addition, it represents the conclusion of nearly two years of effort on the project’s part.
Overledge 1.0
Quant will officially launch the Overledger 1.0 testbed network in June 2020. More than a thousand community users and developers contributed to the testing and development of multi-DLT applications (mDApps). They provide input on the network in the process and ultimately making significant enhancements to the technology.
MDApps developed by developers that migrate to Overledger 2.0 will be able to leverage their distributed network. Distributed network of Remote Connector Gateways (RCGs) located all over the world. This is to execute transactions on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple as a result of the launch of the Overledger Network.
The transactions will also be rolled out and integrated into the Overledger Network in a phased manner. All transactions will be distributed according to an algorithm. The algorithm will weigh the traffic in relation to the cost, accuracy, and reliability of each gateway and the Overledger Network in general.
The Overledger Network enables Enterprise clients to host gateways that allow them to interoperate and unleash private digital assets. Aside from assets, it will also allow them to interoperate and unlease permission DLTs to the rest of the global community.
Overledger 2.0
Gilbert Verdian, Chief Executive Officer of Quant, said that they would deliver a significant volume of changes to Overledger 2.0 in 2021, but the one they are most pleased with is Overledger Network. Throughout the years since the debut of their testbed network in 2020, they have listened to their community. Besides, they implemented their suggestions.
As a result, they’ve developed an architecture that is more robust, scalable, and user-friendly than it was previously. They are looking forward to seeing the response to Overledger 2.1.
