While Axie Infinity is one of the most popular blockchain-based games, statistics suggests that more users play other crypto games. Also, AXS continues to fail in stabilizing its monthly profits. This led people to think twice about the right time to be engaging the game.
A number of statistics results can be the investors’ guide in deciding whether games such as Axie Infinity are worth it. The Smooth Love Potion or SLP price resumes falling. This is despite of its demand in the game to breed Axies and to participate in daily tasks. Players in Axie Infinity can earn by playing Player versus Environment (PvE) or by Player versus Player (PvP). This makes it enticing for users to immediately make a trade if they plan for a short-term return of investment.
There are currently no instantaneous plans to adjust SLP demand or develop new use cases. For specialists, it is not easy to change the gaming ecosystem without careful deliberation. Unfortunately, the downtrend in the SLP price has been occurring for about six months already. There is a low chance that the SLP price will again reach its peak of $0.399. The SLP value ranges from $0.03 and $0.05. This could indicate an inadequacy to continue playing Axie Infinity.
To anyone, it is thinkable that affordable SLPs will trigger a demand in purchase most especially due to the need of having enough SLPs to breed Axies and to make them stronger and win the game. However, it is unfortunate that AXS only has very little demand which explains the suppression of the currency price. $83 million might be an impressive amount in terms of trading volume, but it is insufficient enough to increase the prices. Very few breeding instances are happening currently in Axie Infinity. This is because many players are not happy to think they can only win when they buy SLPs for breeding.
The Player versus Player battle is the feature in Axie Infinity in which players can earn the biggest. To win a PvP combat, players must strategize, use the correct skill, and have unbreakable Axies. The strongest Axies are around $1,000 or higher. Unfortunately, this is a piece of not so good news to players who cannot afford spending that much. They might eventually feel unmotivated to earn high prices and would end up putting much effort into Arena games (PvE) instead of PvPs.
There is also an imbalance in the matchmaking system making the players who can spend more get the upper hand. The Sky Mavis team should solve these among other concerns. This is if they are planning to make Axie Infinity make excellent revenue in the long run.
