Binance NFT has teamed up with EX Sports to launch the first-ever Urbanball Mystery Box NFT collection, which will be available only on Binance NFT.
On May 3, 2022, the first drop from the Urbanball collection will be available. It plans to launch an initial gaming offering (IGO) later this year. The project’s goal is to highlight underdog athletes and underappreciated abilities in the sports world. Simultaneously, it launches the world’s first play-to-earn football mobile game.
Unheralded Talents to the Forefront
Binance NFT, the world’s top cryptocurrency exchange and blockchain ecosystem, is the world’s leading digital collectibles marketplace. It has teamed up with EX Sports, a full-circle fan engagement platform focused on NFTs. It also includes live broadcasting, gaming, and e-commerce, with the goal of launching the first-ever Urbanball NFT collection.
According to a news release, the project aims to honor “underdog” athletes. It also includes talents in sports that sometimes disregard. At the same time, the BNB Chain is launching the world’s first play-to-earn street football mobile game.
Sean Garnier, a two-time global freestyle football champion and internet sensation, is the driving force behind this groundbreaking digital collectibles concept. She has 19 million followers on social media and two billion views on her videos.
The EX Sports fan engagement ecosystem has teamed up with Garnier. Through inventive NFTs with utility, real-life athletes will gain additional exposure and a new potential revenue stream.
The Mystery Box NFT Collection
Character and skill cards are the two main card types in the Urbanball NFTs. To play the game, you’ll need both cards.
Real-life Urbanball street football players inspired the character cards. Those who have earned a name for themselves in the game by winning and impressing in domestic 1v1 football events.
San Garnier, a two-time Freestyle Football Champion, hosts these tournaments. Her character will also include as the top draw in the unique NFT drop.
Skill cards, on the other hand, are a collection of football techniques that may utilize to improve the game’s characters’ performance.
A variety of game types will be available in the Urbanball play-to-earn game. Users will be able to engage in PVP and PVE combat with their NFT characters, with the winners receiving special awards. The inaugural NFT Mystery Box will release at 3 p.m. GST on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
Mulitple NFT Drops
The team has stated that numerous NFT drops will occur until 2022. In December 2022, the official initial game offering (IGO) will take place.
New characters based on top performers and winners of real-life 1v1 football tournaments will release with each Urbanball NFT drop. Adonias Fonseca, Mehdi Amri, and Radheya Marca are among the characters included. These are professional athletes with a combined social media following of more than five million people.
Millions of people will be able to participate in the game thanks to the real-life tournaments. It doesn’t matter if they’re in Brazil’s favelas, Malaysia’s slums, or Paris’ urban jungle.
Urbanball Pre-launched
During the Gitex 2021 event in the Dubai World Trade Center, EX Sports and Sean Garnier pre-launched the Urbanball world’s first freestyle football NFTs. The same location also hosted Binance’s Blockchain Week, which just ended.
In addition, in conjunction with Dubai Tourism and Redbull, EX Sports recently conducted a three-day event. Five of the world’s best street football players competed in the competition. Each athlete was scouted and flown in from a different country to compete in Dubai.
Many of them will also be part of Binance’s initial NFT dump. They can earn royalties through NFTs as a result of this.
